Neil H. Weiss – Producer, Writer, Director

Neil H. Weiss is a veteran actor, producer, writer and director who earned his MFA in Directing at UCLA”s prestigious School of Film & Television.  Through his production company, Eleven Eleven Productions, he develops narrative films, consults on story development, and produces indie features and documentaries. Neil wrote, produced and directed “Our Crossroads”, based on the inspiring true-life story of a young couple in 1969 rural Ohio who followed their beliefs and petitioned for guardianship of six orphaned siblings. He is also the executive producer of the soon-to-be-released documentary “On the Read”, a road trip through 50 states in 50 days during which 50 authors are interviewed about why they read and write.

Neil has written, produced, or directed numerous successful projects, such as the supernatural feature “The Hanged Man”, the biopic screenplay “The Divine Sarah”, Investigation Discovery network’s murder series “True Nightmares”, and the Emmy-nominated documentary “A Small Act”.  He was an Adjunct Faculty member at Citrus College (Los Angeles) where he taught Acting for the Camera and Stage & Screenwriting.  His original play, “The Bronze Star” won an ACTF Kennedy Center Award for Best Production/Directing (2013).  He also co-wrote and directed “Epiphany” a play based on true events surrounding the Nazi Occupation of Norway.  He was invited by the Norwegian government to tour Norway with the student cast.

Neil is currently writing a screenplay based on his uncle’s love letters to his aunt while he was in combat on the German Front Lines during World War II.
